The Welsh Colleges team for this event comprises the winners of the Regional Competitions within Wales for that year. This competition is the pinnacle of colleges sport for most students and involves over 3000 students from across the UK.
Colleges and students from Wales have a history of punching well above their weight at this competition-winning numerous national titles in the process. In 2014 Ladies Rugby, Tennis and Trampolining all won gold medals with other outstanding performances in Ladies Football, Squash, Badminton, Table Tennis and Volleyball.
